Professional Chef+Local Produce= Gourmet Fabulousness

Food! Food! Gourmet Food!
My senses are exploding with flavor and color regularly.

So my husband watch instant streaming on Netflix.
And the current show we are hooked on is
"Take Home Chef" with Curtis Stone

The deal is he goes into the super market,
locates a shopper and convinces them to let him
pick a menu for a gourmet dinner.
He goes to their house that day and cooks with them
a dinner for them and someone else as a surprise.

The major plus is that there are 115 episodes for season 1
and there are 2 seasons.
We are only on episode number 35
and going strong.

What this show means to us is that we are now being
very daring and inventive with our cooking.

Today we made muscles with a tomato, garlic and parsley sauce on rice.

The other major upside to this show is discovering our mutual
love of cooking and making a good presentation of it as well.

Being that we are very much not even close to rich
having the items we wish to cook for has been a challenge.

One of the inexpensive helps has been to purchase Bountiful Basket every other week.
It's a local co-op that is made up of local produce.
We get 50% fruits and 50% vegetables that lasts us about two weeks.

This week alone we received:
Cantaloupe, Raspberries, Apples, Oranges, Bananas, and Pumellos (like grapefruit)
Asparagus, Onions, Parsley, Garlic, Tomatoes, Broccoli, and Cauliflower

And plenty of it.

Cooking really isn't that difficult when you want to have fun.

Go ahead and let your taste buds explode with flavor.

Fabulous
