Introducing Mr Christopher Klaich

I am introducing a great friend of mine,
who is also a very talented musician of many sorts.

Christopher Klaich
and I just recently started collaborating and
he has composed some music for me
to choreograph too.

Christopher Klaich is currently residing in New York City and enjoys wearing many hats. Holding a Bachelor degree in Music- vocal performance from Mesa State College, he has performed as a soloist throughout the US and Europe with favorite performances including Carmina Burana (baritone), Chichester Psalms (counter-tenor), King David (tenor), and with the American Composers Forum concert series in NYC. Christopher enjoys being on the musical stage as well with credits in Brigadoon (Charlie), Iolanthe ( Lord Chancellor), Sugar (Chorus, Joe u/s), The Boy Friend (Alphonse), West Side Story(Indio), and the Nutcracker (Nutcracker/Prince) to name a few.

Mr. Klaich has been the staff accompanist for many choral concerts and recitals. He also has had the privilege of accompanying music theatre productions includingCompany, Side by Side by Sondheim, My Fair Lady, Dames at Sea, Always Patsy Cline,and Noye’s Fludde.  He was also staff accompanist for Mesa State College dance department accompanying the ballet classes. He has been music director and vocal coach for productions of Magic Flute, Forever Plaid, and RENT, to name a few. He also worked as music director for a number of years for St Matthew Episcopal Church in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Christopher loves to compose, arrange, and orchestrate. He has written and arranged choral pieces for Mesa State College Choirs including the world premier of his piece, Mother’s Lament, a haunting setting of the Robert Burn’s poem. He has arranged and orchestrated for various concerts in the US, as well as in Europe. He has also been commissioned to compose vocal solos. He has aspirations to compose film scores, concert music, dance/ballet music, opera and music theatre.

He currently is a chorus member of Christ Church in Greenwich, Connecticut and a proud member of Essential Voices USA directed by Judith Clurman as a vocalist and accompanist.
